We love the stories you share with us, so we thought it would be cool for you to get to know each of us a little bit more with our blog series “Favorite Things”.
Today, you meet Sara.
Sara has been knitting for 14 years and started working at Hooked 2 years ago. She teaches Learn to Knit and other project classes. Away from the shop, Sara is an Architectural Historian. Sara enjoys the repetitive nature of knitting, which is much like mediation. She also likes being able to fix knitting problems.
You can follow Sara on Instagram as @sara_mcbeth to keep abreast on her multiple WIPs and her cutie-pie rescue Boston terrier.
Favorite knitting project: Portage by Melissa Schaschwary
Favorite Yarn: “I don’t like using the same yarn twice. There are so many great yarns out there I want to make sure I try as many as possible.”
Project she would do over and over again: Sara also doesn’t like to make the same pattern.
Favorite Needles: Hiya Hiya Sharps or Knitter’s Pride
Indispensable tools: Stitch markers and Post-It notes
Favorite WIP Storage: Project bags – she as a “bajillion” of them.
Favorite Needle Storage: Della Q interchangeable needle case and a fixed circular case
Favorite pattern designer: “I don’t really have a favorite designer. I knit what appeals to me regardless of the designer.”
